Geoff Domenico founded his company, KCP Energy, on the premise that he wanted to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. He didn't want to have to explain to his children that he believed in climate change, but chose not to do anything about it. Instead, he turned to solar power as his part of the solution. "It's not just climate change, it's about sustainability and trying not to use more then we can replace so there is something there for future generations.

Biosphere, town launch solar project

The sun cooperated with the Town of Canmore and the Biosphere Institute for the launch of its newest solar project.

The solar panel, perched atop the Canmore Seniors Centre, will supply about one kilowatt a month to the system, or about 11-kilowatt hours over the course of the year.
